Where does my child sleep for the evening?
All high school delegates will stay with an A&M student in an on-campus dorm.
Can my child stay with me overnight?
No, the participants of the conference become our responsibility once the conference starts and must stay with us until the conclusion of the conference.
Can I stay with my child the whole conference?
No, the conference is designed for the participants to be independent and interact with the other conference participants. The parents are welcome to stay for the opening of the conference (campus tours, speaker, and question and answer session) on Saturday morning and the closing of the conference (design competition and the closing ceremony) on Sunday morning. The opening session will be located in the Richardson Building and the closing session will be in the Zachry Engineering Center. Where do I park?
We recommend that everyone park in Lot 50 behind the Zachry Engineering Center. We ask that all delegates who are bringing their own vehicle leave their vehicle in Lot 50 for the duration of the conference. They will not be allowed to go to their car at any time during the conference. Lot 50 is shown in the following map http://campusmaps.tamu.edu/?mi=337&mi=185&mi=135&zoom=15&view=map. Note: you may only park here Saturday or Sunday.
Does parking cost?
If you park in Lot 50, there is no cost. Note: you may only park here Saturday or Sunday.
What does the $25 registration fee include?
It includes lunch and dinner on Saturday as well as breakfast and lunch on Sunday. It also includes a lock-in at the Rec Center and a conference T-shirt.
Where is check-in?
The check-in will be located in the Richardson Building shown in the following link http://campusmaps.tamu.edu/?mi=337&mi=185&mi=135&zoom=15&view=map. There will be someone to escort you from Lot 50 to the Richardson Building.
What is the Refund Policy if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel your registration, please email fame@sec.tamu.edu as soon as possible. If you have already paid, we will issue refunds for those who cancel by February 27, 2009. If the week before the conference you find you are unable to attend, please let us know so we are not expecting you.
